Charles & Holli's Wedding

Holli and Charles love each other SO much. Wow, the love they have for each other truly radiates when you're around them. It was palpable on their wedding day. <3 <3 <3

This wedding was incredibly intimate. There were a total of 8 people in attendance (9 if you count me) to witness this beautiful couple get married.

The Museum of the Shenandoah Valley was the PERFECT location for this very intimate ceremony. They got married in a small building called "The Pink Pavilion" which had historic architecture and feel.

Holli and Charles said the sweetest vows to each other. The officiant then performed what's called a "Handfasting Ceremony" where each chord represented a different promise in a marriage. By the end of the ceremony, Charles and Holli's hands were bound together by all these promises.

This was so unique! I have never even heard of this before! They got to keep the chords that were tied around their hands as a beautiful memento of their ceremony.

After the ceremony, we went out to take photos. The light was very challenging since the sun was practically right over our heads and was super harsh light, but, we certainly made it work! A good photographer knows how to shoot in any lighting conditions. ;-)

We then headed over to Holli's parent's home for their reception. The cake was beautiful and the first dances were so filled with love.
